Support your nervous system and growth
Horses get it
Horses are sensitive to human emotions, and have the ability to mirror and amplify our emotional states through their body language and behaviour. These nonverbal signals and cues provide valuable and immediate feedback and can help us build awareness of our patterns of thought, emotion, and action. Horses’ presence supports humans to be in their bodies. People can notice and connect to the physical and emotional sensations they are feeling and learn to track their nervous system. Our bodies are our primary source of wisdom. These sensations and emotions are a sure guide to what we truly need and value to live a life of authenticity, purpose and fulfilment.
Healing with horses by learning:
- The value of being connected to our body sensations and emotions
- How to prioritise and practice conscious and empowered ways of relating to ourselves and others
- How to notice and track our nervous system
- The importance of our authentic expression
- How to set healthy boundaries
The nervous system is our operating system…
…and it’s through this that we heal
It is well-known that horses are instinctual beings and respond in the moment to what they are feeling. We work with naming needs and making requests and horses respond with compassion and creativity, when we allow ourselves to really feel and express them. Being with the horses offers the experience of warm, nourishing relationships in an embodied way, where our nervous system meets with another, not just our mind. It is through these relationships and nervous system support that the healing happens.
